Website Mock-ups

Episcopal Children’s Services provides early childhood education for underserved families. The organization helps young children, up to the age of five, prepare to enter the school system. Their website was outdated and difficult to navigate, and they asked Wingard Creative to redesign it, making it on-brand, bright, and cheerful – but not childish. I was the Art Director on this project.

Wingard Creative’s team of web designers and developers scraped the contents from their old site, and I reorganized it into a simplified, logical site plan for an improved user experience. Two of the most important parameters were that all pages be no more than two clicks deep, and that the site is as easy to navigate on mobile devices as it is on a desktop. In addition to mock-ups of the overall design and hierarchy of the webpage, I designed the icons and defined the text styles, button states, and menu actions. Minor edits were made during the development stage, such as the addition of a search bar, but the new site remains very similar to the mock-ups I created in Photoshop.
