Logo Design
When my friend and former coworker, Ed Stansel, called to tell me he needed help designing a logo for his new mead-centric bar, I was all over it like a bee to honey.
Ed’s wife, Beth, is his muse and she loves bees and all things black. Knowing this, I presented several concepts, and though he was drawn to one design and Beth another, they both decided on the one pictured here.

Window Graphics
As build-out of the bar progressed, Ed came to me for building and window graphics. He wanted to display their key beverage offerings while matching the style established with their logo.
The graphics were featured on the windows flanking the door, as well as on the building façade above, to be visible from the street.

Business Cards
To get the word out about The Mazer, Ed asked me to create some general business cards with the vital details of the bar. I repeated the top three descriptors from the window graphics — meadery, cider house, winery — and included the honeycomb pattern from the logo. Since the logo was going to dominate the reverse side of the card, I felt it unnecessary to repeat it on the information side. I instead opted to use the brand font to spell it out and gave it the same type treatment as the descriptors.
